Position Overview

Primarily responsible for supporting existing technology and developing new technology to support the competition group. The Systems/Data Engineer will support the test team as a data acquisition engineer; help produce technical drawings for parts manufacture; support the 23XI Pit Department on various engineering projects; and support the Quality Control department in its weekly component analysis. Candidates should be efficient at time management and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with varying project scopes and deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Help develop and execute the weekly quality control measuring of components using the Hexagon Coordinate Measuring Machine
Assist in maintaining of vehicle setup equipment including, but not limited to, Romer Arms and Optical Scanning Stations
Assist the Pit Department group in analyzing team and car performance using multiple sources and answering questions to help the team seek competitive advantages
Assist the Pit Department in weekly chassis setup parameters to match the race setup
Lead Data Acquisition support engineer for all 23XI track testing
Use CAD to create fixture and component designs and produce technical drawings
Manage and perform all duties associated with a vast array of engineering projects
Assist with monitoring and supporting race strategy and execution on NASCAR Cup Series race weekends
Other duties as assigned by Manager

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree required
2+ years of motorsports experience preferred.
Fluent in and with
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Onenote
- One or more CAD packages
Experience with Autodesk PowerInspect and Hawkeye Innovations NASCAR Inspection software preferred
Knowledge of NASCAR rules and regulations
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to assess and react to situations in a fast-paced stressful environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Skills to work independently and operate well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Ability to identify and propose solutions to complex issues
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
