Job Description:

Shift: First Shift

Planning & Division (PDD) is seeking qualified candidates for our "ENGINEER I" position in our Building Engineering Unit (BEU).

Join us in our mission to "Make The Journey Better" for the billions of passengers, employees, and guests that travel to & through our Airports. The selected candidate will join our team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design our next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.

Key Identifiers for the position

Strong credentials & experience with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), such as preparing single-line diagrams, floor-plans, and other drawings to reflect existing & proposed conditions (electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, etc.)
Some experience & knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other spatial-data systems
Some experience & knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills in a collaborative setting

Essential Job Duties

Work alongside a multi-disciplined team of planners, architects, engineers, construction managers, property managers, and other professionals in a collaborative environment
Perform records-research, field investigations, and stakeholder outreach to verify and document existing conditions
Develop high-quality maps, diagrams, drawings, renderings, and other work-products to support the planning, design, operations, and maintenance of airport facilities
Develop tools, templates, and standards to innovate and improve our processes

Experience and Skills:

Desired Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and/or related field
Professional Certifications in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Experience with Autodesk (CAD, Revit, etc.) and/or similar software's is highly desirable
