Holder Construction Company, an Atlanta based commercial construction company with operations throughout the United States, is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our team in our Atlanta Office.

Job Summary: A Data Engineer in the Data Estate group focuses on implementing an efficient, secure, and scalable ETL process for all of Holder’s data. This includes finding, archiving, documenting, securing, QA/QC’ing, and presenting data for future use.

This role will be fully onsite in our Atlanta Office.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize APIs to ingest data from 3rd party systems.
Document the architecture of 3rd party systems and any requirements, including schema, relationships, and fields.
Validate data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Saturate and normalize data.
Produce datasets for use by Business Analysts to meet company needs.
Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in their resolution.

Qualifications:

1-5 years of working experience.
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
Experience with cloud services (e.g., Databricks, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
This position is fully in-office in Atlanta, GA.

Preferred Tools and Software:

Visualization tools including Power BI, Looker.
Cloud ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Documentation tools such as Confluence.
Task and workload management tools similar to Azure DevOps or Jira.
SQL and BigQuery data backend.
Process diagramming software similar to LucidChart.
