Aerospace Engineer

Signature Solutions, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a talented and self-motivated Aerospace Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team that provides modeling, simulation, and analysis support for multiple Air and Missile Defense programs on Redstone Arsenal, AL.

The applicant will join a diverse team of engineers and scientists supporting DoD customers on a wide range of modeling, simulation, and system analysis projects in support of weapon system performance assessments. Candidates will support trajectory, 6DOF, and flight dynamics modeling, analysis, and data generation for use in multiple all-digital and hardware-in-the-loop facilities. Candidates will provide support to Army flight test events. Candidates will work in a multi-disciplinary team to include defensive systems and signatures analysts to provide threat representative simulation inputs. Candidate will utilize DoD standard tools such as OMEGA and IMPULSE. Candidate will be responsible for the development of MATLAB data analysis and visualization tools. Work will be performed on-site at customer facilities with regular interaction between team members, industry partners, government customers, and US intelligence community counterparts.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama area.

Salary is dependent on years experience.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in aerospace engineering is required; advanced degrees are a plus.
Familiarity with basic aerospace principles such as vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics, and coordinate transforms
Candidate must have 0 to 10 years work experience in related field with a strong technical background. New aerospace graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong software programming skills and experience are required with MATLAB
Experience in air and missile defense simulation is a plus.
Experience with OMEGA, IMPULSE, or ARGO is a plus
Strong spatial reasoning skills with experience in manipulating coordinate transforms, reference frames, and time/position/velocity relationships
Active DoD security clearance is a plus.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility requirements to obtain/maintain a Final Secret Security Clearance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
