Job Description

As Director, you will work as a part of a team of professionals helping to solve complex business problems from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include:

Actively lead a team by monitoring and driving delivery of services to clients, leading team meetings, supporting and driving Vialto strategy and achieving team goals.
Collaborate with Partners to co-create service offerings and implement client service strategies.
Involvement in business development activities, such as client seminars, roundtables, etc.
Lead conversations on digital automation solutions.
Delegation of consulting and compliance work to appropriate staff to maximize utilization, balance profitability and support staff development.
Focus on the market and new opportunities for revenue growth.
Analyze complex ideas or proposals and develop a series of meaningful recommendations.
Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder perspectives, to develop solutions and recommendations.
Act to resolve issues as they arise.
Signing of Canadian and/or US personal income tax returns and related forms/deliverables.
Consulting focus with clients to drive value to their global mobility programs.
Develop perspectives on key global trends and their impact on the business and our clients.
Train your teams and encourage ownership of their development.

Qualifications

Proven success and solid experience in expatriate taxation; knowledge of personal income tax in Canada and the US is essential. Minimum of 10 years in the industry.
Strong customer service skills and experience in client facing roles.
US professional accounting designation, such as CPA or Enrolled Agent, or willingness to obtain one.
Knowledge of payroll and equity compensation.
Demonstrated business development skills and enthusiasm to contribute to Vialto's continued growth and success.
An interest in improving digital and technology skills, learning new tools and adapting the way you work.
A commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams.
Proven track record in managing multiple assignments, clients and employees.
Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and a proactive attitude.
