Neel-Schaffer seeks responses from qualified candidates for the position of Alternative Delivery Practice Leader. This position would, preferably, be based in in one of three offices – Nashville, Columbia (SC) or Atlanta – but we are open to this employee working from a different location.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated alternative delivery construction and design project management experience to partner with team members across the organization. You will have proven leadership skills to work and lead within a team environment of engineers and technicians on various types of alternative delivery projects.
The candidate’s job duties may also include leading all types of alternative delivery project pursuits, developing teaming/partnering strategies, leading contract negotiations, providing/supporting risk analysis, leading and developing alternative technical concepts, client engagement, serving as a technical advisor to staff, ensuring QA/QC compliance procedures, and communication with the project teams and clients.

What we need from you:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- DBIA Certification, preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in civil engineering and/or deep knowledge of alternative delivery, preferred.
- Construction and design project management experience to include client management, preferred.
- Experience leading and managing staff preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
- Familiar with DOT Design Guidelines and Standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel is required.
