We are looking for a Mechanical team leader to join our Mechanical R&D department as a key player in leading the development of next generation of assembly and automated test infrastructure for Nvidia’s groundbreaking products. This key position includes leading the electro-mechanical design and automation of fixtures, close interaction with NPI, SPE (System Product Engineering), HW, PMC (Product Management & Configuration), Thermal, Layout, Quality and Supply chain groups.

What you’ll be doing:
Lead a team of experienced Mechanical Engineers, define priorities, critical paths, achievements, and prioritize resources for various mechanical programs.
Drive all the mechanical design aspects of Test/Assembly infrastructure (fixtures/jigs) to enable high volume manufacturing in accordance with company’s roadmap.
Serve as a technical mentor for the team, supervise detailed design, actively participate in DRs and set high standard for team’s outputs.
Encourage creativity within the team, out of box thinking and ‘can do’ attitude. Develop/improve design methodologies, checklists and training plans.
Manage and guide subcontractors in various design collaborations.
Join and lead task forces to investigate and support production excursions, failure analysis and reliability issues.
What we need to see:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or higher degree.
8+ overall years of hands-on experience in classical mechanical design of mechanisms, jigs/fixtures for products assembly/testing.
4+ years of experience as team leader (with direct reporters).
Proven experience in defining and applying automation building blocks (pneumatics, xyz manipulators, robotic arms, servo, etc…)
Excellent hands-on experience with 3D CAD. SolidWorks and Creo is an advantage.
High awareness for quality and manufacturability, and understanding of statistical tolerance analysis techniques, CTF dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing.
Strong understanding in machining processes of Plastic/Metal and plating/finish types
Self-motivated with a sharp learning curve and ability to analyze complex cases quickly and take decisions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hebrew.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Proven record of leading a team of mechanical engineers in a large international organization.
Experience in developing Pneumatic control systems and automatic assembling lines.
Background in working with supply chains, contract manufacturers and leading resources such as consultants, component suppliers, contractors, and manufacturing partners.
Experience as a System Engineer or a Mechanical architect of large scale Electro-Mechanical products including PCB/PCBA.
Experience in development of liquid cooling solutions and Optical interfaces for test equipment.
