Position Specific DescriptionAs a Wind Technician Leader for Stateline Wind in Touchet, WA you will support all wind farm operations for maintenance and repair. You will focus on performance and profitability within the framework of the operating plan including developing and executing strategy for improved maintenance, diagnostic, and operation to provide additional customer value and reduce cost of service. Additional duties may include:
-Implementing Operation Safety Policy Instructions, conducting field work in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) applicable regulations, encourage good employee safety practices, and drive an unparalleled employee safety culture
-Participating and leading Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects
-Recruiting, developing, retaining, leading, and advancing resources at sites driving professional standards and matrix development of team
-Demonstrating responsibility for all phases of timely safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, and turbine availability
-Working closely with internal NextEra users to develop and implement operation focused feedback and solutions for planned and unplanned maintenance, improvement projects, development, and financial performance
-Presenting a positive professional representation of NextEra Energy in the community and with the customer

Job OverviewLeaders in this job provide the first line of guidance as the working leader for technicians who perform operations and maintenance support. Employees in this role schedule all routine maintenance, maintain parts inventory, monitor equipment performance, diagnose problems, and make recommendations to optimize efficiency.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Assists in the selection and training of team members
- Prepares and reviews administrative documentation relating to such things as time sheets and performance evaluations
- Assists Site Manager in the preparation of reports regarding operations, maintenance, and budgeting
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 5+ years in a technical field, OR completion of a technical certificate/degree program
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
- Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet
- Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval
Preferred QualificationsThe estimated base pay for this position is $88,800.00 to $133,200.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
