SUMMARYThe Senior Accountant will assist the Assistant Controller with full-cycle accounting and financial analysis. In addition, this position will support the Assistant Controller to ensure accuracy of the financial records and statements. This incumbent works independently performing accounting tasks of a technical and complex nature in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Schedule: Onsite, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Conducts General Ledger month-end close.
- Prepares and posts monthly journal entries.
- Performs consolidation of The Bobrick Corporation for quarterly and annual bank requirements.
- Compiles and presents monthly consolidated management financial package.
- Performs analytical review of BWEI interim Financial Statements.
- Reconciles and analyzes assigned BWEI General Ledger Accounts.
- Manage and track the company's fixed assets for all locations including their acquisition, depreciation, and disposal.
- Prepare Fixed Assets roll forward for all locations.
- Prepares the year-end external audit consolidation and financial statement package.
- Supports the Accounting Supervisor and Finance Supervisor in providing financial information for the year-end audit and tax preparation.
- Serves as back up for the Systems Administrator in maintaining the report writing system.
- Assess the current procedures within the department and provide Assistant Controller with recommendations for improvements.
- Prepares ad-hoc reports in report writing system.
- Preforms accounting research.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting from four-year College or university; three to five years of Accounting experience.
- CPA highly preferred.
- Must have a thorough understanding of complex Accounting practices and procedures.
- Experience with preparation of consolidated financial statements a must.
- Industry experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Familiar with consolidation of foreign entities and accounting for foreign currency transactions a plus.
- Must have demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel, and Access.
- Solid written/oral communication and organization skills.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Salary: $87,000 - $102,000
