Job OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and adaptable Junior Biomedical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will contribute to a range of projects, from prototyping new devices to refining advanced sensor integrations. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow in a small, agile company, where creativity and hands-on problem-solving are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
- Prototyping and Development: Assist in designing, building, and testing prototypes for custom in-ear biomonitors.
- Sensor Integration: Work with various biosensors (e.g., PPG, EEG, bioimpedance) to optimize data collection and device performance.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct bench and user testing to validate device functionality and performance.
- Data Analysis: Support the analysis of physiological signals to refine algorithms and enhance device capabilities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, designers, and clinical experts to ensure solutions meet user needs and industry standards.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed records of designs, tests, and project progress to support regulatory compliance and intellectual property efforts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op experiences are welcome).
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of physiological monitoring technologies (e.g., PPG, ECG, bioimpedance).
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools (e.g., CAD, 3D printing, breadboarding).
- Basic soldering skils.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Understanding of signal processing and data analysis techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
