Job Title: Production Engineer DSS (Java/Python & PHP)

Job description
Verify and provide guidance to improve product engineering and code efficiency on the web tier.
Roles and responsibilities
1. Review code improvement requests/suggestions from client engineers and evaluate their performance outcomes
2. Validate and evaluate code regressions. Identify if false positives. Extract relevant information from logs and other sources to debug, identify owners or root causes. Follow up with owners.
3. Write basic tools and test cases to improve the speed and quality of support
Required Skills
- Strong written English communication skills, strong organizational skills
- A good understanding of charts, analytical skills (e.g. time series charts, comparison etc.), investigation skills (e.g. trace the call stack and find the root cause)
- Knowledge or desire for knowledge about programming
- Basic understanding of the software stack with expertise in one OOP language like Java / Python. And front end web development experience using Hack / PHP
- Couple years of development and troubleshooting experience
- Track task resolution, explain the need to complete tasks to stakeholders
- Ability to tie specific tasks to larger business priority
- Strong comms, written and in person
- High level of organization
- Conflict resolution, ability to deal with pressure and pushback
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
