This position will be critical finance leadership supporting the Prepared Foods Business Unit and its 35 manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Sr Mgr. Finance, this role will support both the VP Supply Chain Finance and the Manufacturing Operations Leadership Team in driving forward strategic initiatives and conversion cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct business/functional activities providing products, resources and/or services in support of Company operations.
- Lead process improvements in planning, analysis, reporting and monitoring of both financial and non-financial measures. Leverage information technology to automate, streamline and integrate processes.
- Work cross-functionally through the organization, bringing a financial perspective to decision making which advanced growth and return in this business.
- Direct staff through subordinate management, assigning objectives and evaluating results. Aid in developing optimal organizational design and advancement plans for broader staff.
- Participate in and may lead aspects of the weekly/monthly close processes which includes reconciliation of internal accounts, comparing actual results to latest financial outlook, and reviewing accuracy of financial information.
- Develop various analyses, reports and presentations; perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling and special project support as needed.
- Participate in strategic planning and budget process, assist with leading financial portion of process and analysis.
- Develop financial models to support business decisions such as network expansion/consolidation and impact of productivity on conversion cost.
- Work with multiple systems for use in information retrieval and analyses including SAP, SAP BPC and Business Objects.

- Prepare reports, presentations and other information summarizing business activities and providing strategic direction.
- Monitor internal control environment. Identify gaps in controls and support development of approaches to mitigate exposure.
- Other support as required from business and functions.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant financial experience
- Knowledge in Accounting and Financial analysis. Background in cost accounting or supply chain finance strongly preferred. Broad knowledge of Tyson segments and business structure is a plus.
