Barbour Stockwell is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our test services and customer support operations. Spin Testing experience is a must
Responsibilities will include the planning and execution of projects to test the integrity of critical rotating components; from EV Motor rotors to Aircraft Engine rotor disks.
Spin Test Services
Work with customers to generate test plans and procedures
Generate Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
Generate Layouts (using SOLIDWORKS) for subsequent analyses and the generation of detailed manufacturing drawings
Design Tooling with supporting analyses
- FEA – Structural and Heat Transfer
- Rotordynamic
- Detailed Manufacturing Drawings
Support Technicians in setting up and running tests
Generate Test Reports for the customer
Customer Support
Installation and commissioning of new spin test facilities
Troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment on existing facilities
Remote support via telephone and TeamViewer
On-site support for customers around the world.
Requirements:
· BSME
· Spin Testing Experience
· Knowledge of Strength of Materials / Failure Modes
· Mechanical Design Skills
· Machine Design Coursework &/or Experience
· CAD Skills
· Knowledge of ANSI Std. Tolerancing
· Willingness to Travel - Overseas and Domestic
