Job Duties and Qualifications
Essential Job Functions
•Operating with significant level of technical and/or operational independence in all assigned areas.
•Will provide specialized Well Engineering support for the Critical Projects to resolve major engineering/operational issues and/or to enhance performance
•Technical Authority accountability for one or more Well Engineering standard and processes
•Will have accountability for Well Engineering process and design quality and integrity assurance on a number of well construction projects
•Must function as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one technology domain in Well Construction.
•Collaborate with other disciplines and Product Service Lines (PSLs) of the Company for drilling engineering related issues.
•Provide work direction and mentorship on a regular basis to staff Engineers.
Requirements
•Completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering preferably in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering required.
•Must have a minimum Level 4 IWCF Well Control certificate.
•Must possess good working knowledge of relevant industry standards for Well construction - API, NORSOK, IOGP etc
•Minimum of 20 years of Well Engineering experience with hands-on current knowledge of drilling & completions operations and techniques in onshore and offshore (preferable Deep Water) drilling environments preferred.
•Hands-on experience in well intervention engineering is a plus
•Up to 50% travel required for this position.
