Job Summary:
The Head of Operations and Production Facilities for non-operated onshore and offshore assets will play a crucial role in ensuring that the operating partners deliver in line with the companies strategic objectives and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Operations and Asset Management, and will act as a subject matter expert and liaison between the Company and its operating partners ensuring optimal performance across key focus areas, including process safety, carbon emissions management, operating cost optimization, and production optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight & Performance Management:
- Monitor the operator's activities to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Process Safety Management:
- Collaborate with the operator to ensure that robust process safety protocols are in place and strictly followed.
- Carbon Emissions Management:
- Work closely with the operator to develop and implement strategies for reducing carbon emissions and meeting sustainability targets.
- Operating Cost Optimization:
- Analyze operational cost data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Production Optimization:
- Monitor production data to ensure that output meets or exceeds planned targets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Petroleum Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience in managing non-operated assets or working closely with operators in a similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of process safety management, carbon emissions reduction strategies, and production optimization techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Nigeria and the Niger Delta region.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
