Service Engineer - Warren, MI
The Service Parts Information & Cataloging team is responsible for creating, managing, and delivering world class part content to various online digital solutions.
The Part Content Retailer Liaison plays a vital role in leading the collection of part content, ensuring accurate part setup for our national retail accounts. You will work cross functionally between the Service Parts Information & Cataloging and National ACDelco & Retail Account teams to drive forward part setup and general cataloging initiatives for both teams.
This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as required.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor part readiness for setup based on specified/unique account needs and maintain regular communication with account teams
- Proactively oversee the part setup process
- Process part setup maintenance tasks as needed as the business changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to source and prioritize data effectively
- Ensure timely alignment of monthly PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) and ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard) deliverables with retailer requirements, uploading them as per the desired schedule
- Utilize tools like PartSmart and Access databases to define project scopes for tasks such as part updates, new part setups, and monthly file maintenance
- Collaborate with the Product Information Management (PIM) team to ensure national retail account specific fields are accurate in PartSmart
- Conduct monthly touchpoint calls with internal and external retail account teams
- Assist retailers in adapting to significant changes in GM’s part content
- Perform data audits from retailers, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Provide valuable support to the national retail account Operational Excellence (OpEx) efforts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cataloging
- Develop and implement new processes, provide feedback, and work with others to ensure continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel
- Experience with Power BI/Knime
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both internal and external teams
- Strong organizational skills with proven track record of efficiently executing complex projects to completion at a high level of quality
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and data accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record in partnering with external and internal stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data management and familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) systems such as PartSmart
- Highly encouraged to have knowledge of PIES (Product Information Exchange Standard) and ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard) standards
- Familiarity with automotive retail accounts such as Amazon, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, O’Reilly, and NAPA
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
