We are looking for a service technician to join our team in Foggia because the wind farms are located in this area.As a service technician, you will work together with another technician executing scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance activities in the wind farms.
How to contribute to our vision
In addition to many other tasks, your main responsibilities will be included but not be limited to:
* To p erform mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely.
* You will support customer remotely and onsite, and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.
* To coordinate and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment.
* You will support in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributes to planning activities.
* You will adhere to our defined processes and applicable regulations.
As our new Service Technician, You will perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in wind-turbine generators. You should have a desire to learn about electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics as you will be responsible of the general maintenance of the turbines. Your main tasks consist of implementing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance actions on the electrical and electronic parts of the turbine, analyzes and diagnoses faults in the electronic and electrical systems, using specific schemes and automated control systems as support (video screens from which check the performance of the machinery); identify the fault, carry out the repair and replacement of parts, modules, or tools. It is a great benefit if have previously worked with Gamesa technology.
It is crucial that you will be fully compliant with Siemens Gamesa safety codes and have a history of being able to follow set procedures. As a person you are compliant, flexible, and eager to work in a job that will offer you freedom and great opportunity to learn and become an independent problem-solver. You will be multitasking and planning service activities, while coordinating these activities within your team. We are looking for someone who is accurate and has a high safety awareness.
What you need to make a difference
Do you have previous experience with Gamesa technology? Then you are just who we are looking for!
The ideal candidate holds a high school degree with focus on Mechanics or Electrical on level 4 or similar in combination with thorough practical experience and if possible, ideally with a minimum of practical work experience in the field. Having this experience in the wind or a heavy regulated industry is considered a plus.
The role is physically demanding and requires working in high altitudes and confined spaces. Driving license and owning a vehicle is a requirement and you should be flexible and prepared to travel as our wind farms are spread over a large geographical area.
It is important that you are fluent both in Italian and English, written and verbal, as some of the documentation and other tasks are completed in English. Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results together, as part of a team.
You have a high professional competency, and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills, and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
