Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team and lead efforts in supporting the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions focused on modernization initiatives. This role will be pivotal in optimizing existing systems, introducing new technologies, and ensuring seamless integration across various platforms. As part of a dynamic team, you will help drive operational efficiency, reduce manual efforts, and contribute to the overall business goals, particularly within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Core Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Programming Languages: Solid experience with TSQL, VB, or C#.
- Industrial Automation Tools and Vendor Platforms: Expertise in working with platforms such as Rockwell Automation, TwinCat 3, Siemens, B&R, and Elau.
- Ignition Experience: Hands-on experience or Core certification with Ignition (version 8 or greater), with Gold certification being a plus.
- Networking & VM Management: Knowledge of Layer 2 networking, Virtual Machine (VM) management, and Windows-based PC environments.
- Control Hardware Specification: Experience specifying controls hardware for applications within legacy systems.
- Industrial Project Implementation: Proven experience in the large-scale implementation of industrial projects, with a focus on automation.
- Modern Controls Architecture Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern industrial controls development methodologies and architectures.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in automation engineering, with a strong focus on modernization and system integration in industrial environments.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with process/equipment in cGMP manufacturing, particularly within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with industrial automation tools, control systems, and platform integration.

Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour
