Primera Technology, Inc. ("Primera") is one of the world's leading and most respected designers and manufacturers of specialty printing equipment. We have a mechanical engineering position open for a person who knows how to make things work. This role is very hands-on. You'll be working with a small team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers who take great pride in their work as well as their significant contributions to Primera's 50+ years of success. All work is done in person at our location in Plymouth.

Job Details
The job will initially involve a lot of existing product support. Eventually, you will be taking printing-related products from concept to production. Responsibilities will eventually include research and development, design and construction of models and proof-of-concept mechanisms, design and testing of products, collaboration with electrical engineers on electrical components and related design considerations, creation of part and assembly drawings, communication with part suppliers, working with safety agencies to secure product approvals, development of production quality check lists and test procedures, and support of new and legacy products in production. Occasionally, work with a patent attorney to acquire utility patents may be required. To promote productivity, time spent in meetings will be very limited.
Qualifications
Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Prior engineering work experience is not required. SolidWorks CAD software experience is preferred, but not required. Machine shop and/or mechanic experience is a plus. Must be self-motivated, able to manage responsibilities with limited oversight, and willing to work overtime occasionally, if needed, to meet deadlines.
Pay: $60,000 - $90,000 per year depending upon qualifications and experience.
