Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Design Support Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on testing, debugging, and analyzing high-speed signal integrity for cable and connector products, such as PCIe and Ethernet interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet rigorous performance standards and contribute to local sample builds for high-speed cables and connectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Testing: Develop and execute test plans and fixtures to evaluate the performance of high-speed interfaces, identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Prototype Development: Support local sample builds for high-speed cables and connectors, ensuring specifications are met.
- Collaboration: Partner with PCB designers, hardware engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity from concept to production.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed records of design processes, test results, and analyses.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve signal integrity issues during the design and testing phases.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and advancements by participating in industrial associations, driving innovation in signal integrity practices.
RequirementsMandatory Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years as a Design Engineer in the interconnect/cabling industry.
- Expertise: Proven experience in signal integrity design/assembly analysis, particularly with PCIe and Ethernet interfaces.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Skilled in using measurement equipment such as VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) and TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer).
- Strong understanding of high-speed digital design principles and transmission line theory.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed cable and connector design and testing.
- Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- Work Environment: Collaborative team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with simulation tools such as HFSS and CST.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for processing s4p files and generating signal integrity test reports.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
