Key Responsibilities
Lead an electrical engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients
Collaborate with Client Account Managers and sales professionals on strategic pursuits
Develop and maintain client relationships
Provide innovative solutions that deliver value to clients and the company
Engage in business growth strategy, including exploration and development of new project opportunities
Mentor and develop junior technical staff
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or related engineering discipline
At least 10 years of engineering design and/or consulting experience
Professional Engineering licensure (any US state) or ability to gain licensure within 1 year
Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships, and win work
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Availability to travel as required (less than 50%)
Availability to work at least 2 days per week in the Cary, NC office when not traveling
Highly Regarded Qualifications
Experience with power distribution systems, microgrids, power generation projects, HV/MV substations, renewable energy projects, energy storage systems, and power system modeling software
Knowledge of protection and control, SCADA, power system automation, campus utility master planning, decarbonization/climate response planning, cogeneration, and thermal utility plants and distribution systems
