Rohde & Schwarz Defense, Security, & Critical Infrastructure (DS&CI) group is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to join our team and support our diverse radiomonitoring and radiolocation portfolio. In this role, you will assist in the system design and integration of our existing Rohde & Schwarz hardware and software offerings into system solutions. This position offers a valuable opportunity for individuals with a foundational understanding of RF principles and systems engineering practices to engage in meaningful projects that enhance operational excellence across various sectors.
Your tasks - Assist in the system design and integration of radiomonitoring receivers, direction finders, signal analyzers, and antennas into comprehensive monitoring solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze system requirements and develop engineering solutions that utilize existing Rohde & Schwarz hardware and software.
- Participate in the evaluation and validation of integrated systems to ensure they meet performance specifications and customer requirements.
- Conduct performance assessments and contribute to the optimization of existing systems to enhance their effectiveness in real-world applications.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the integration of radiomonitoring systems.
- Contribute to the documentation of engineering processes, system configurations, and project reports.

Your qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of RF principles, including signal detection, analysis, and geolocation techniques.
- Familiarity with systems engineering practices and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SysML (Cameo) is desired to support system modeling and design activities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be U.S. person capable of receiving U.S. Gov't security clearance

The total compensation for this position is $85K-$115K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
