The Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and talented Data Engineer to join the team. In this critical role you will work directly with some of the best and most experienced researchers and technologists in the quantitative trading industry. You’ll utilize your knowledge in data analysis and engineering to work collaboratively to contribute to our cutting-edge trading and research infrastructure. You’ll work alongside software engineers, quantitative developers, and quantitative researchers to optimize data processing workflows, contribute to data retrieval, and launch effective data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate enjoys keeping updated with the latest technologies and would look to bring on the relevant technologies to help the team continue to be bleeding edge.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will:
- Design, build and launch highly efficient and reliable data pipelines to process large-scale market data
- Utilize cloud platform AWS for processing and storing large datasets
- Lead and implement processes and frameworks for ensuring quality and consistent data across the organization
- Partner with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to provide insights through data
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources into centralized systems
- Embrace new technologies in data sciences to continuously innovate existing operations
What you’ll bring
What you need:
- Proficiency with Python, AWS, and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Experience gathering, analyzing, developing, testing, and implementing data into robust solutions
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data
- Understanding of data structures and ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative, complex and highly technical team environment
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving challenging problems using technology
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
