We are currently on the lookout for a talented and dedicated ACAD Technician to become an integral part of our dynamic engineering team.
Job Description
We seek an accomplished ACAD Technician who possesses a robust background in HVAC and electrical ACAD design. The ideal candidate will bring at least four years of practical experience to the table, with a strong preference for individuals who have specialized expertise in HVAC control engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for producing and refining intricate technical drawings and schematics that support our engineering and installation teams in delivering excellence and precision.
Applicants are required to submit a PDF version of their ACAD work examples. These examples should showcase their previous work and demonstrate their skills relevant to the position.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop detailed CAD drawings and layouts tailored for HVAC systems, encompassing control systems and comprehensive electrical schematics.
· Collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs align with project specifications and meet client expectations.
· Review and amend existing ACAD drawings to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
· Assist in compiling technical documentation and detailed project reports that showcase our work.
· Conduct on-site visits to collect essential data and verify installation accuracy as required for projects.
· Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) to accurately reflect all components and materials needed for projects.
· Create and maintain accurate as-built drawings to document changes made during the construction process.
· Build and coordinate submittal documentation for project approvals and review processes.
· Leverage AI technologies to advance productivity and streamline design processes.
Qualifications
· An Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
· A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in HVAC or electrical ACAD design, demonstrating a strong technical foundation.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and associated HVAC software tools, showcasing your capability in creating complex drawings.
· A solid understanding of HVAC systems, control mechanisms, and electrical schematics to support design efforts effectively.
· Outstanding communication and teamwork skills that foster collaboration and project success.
· A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
· Possessing experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) is highly desirable; however, candidates who show a strong enthusiasm for learning and developing their skills in this area will also be considered. This position necessitates a proactive approach to self-directed training and ongoing professional development. Successful candidates will need to invest time and effort in mastering BIM technologies to effectively apply them within various projects. This includes staying informed about the latest trends and advancements in BIM, actively seeking out educational resources, and participating in relevant workshops or training sessions to enhance their proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous experience in HVAC control engineering and design that emphasizes efficiency and performance.
· Familiarity with energy-efficient practices and current advancements in HVAC technologies, reflecting a commitment to sustainable solutions.
