Our client is seeking Data Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team in Tacoma, WA. For this role candidate need proficiency in Tableau, SQL, and QA, and a flexible mindset. The role involves processing and analyzing terabytes of data using AWS services like Redshift and Elasticsearch.
Note: This is a returnship position. A minimum 1-year career break is required for eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with large-scale data collections to support R&D efforts.
- Design and develop robust data storage solutions and APIs for data manipulation and retrieval.
- Develop monitoring tools for data sources and improve analytics capabilities.
- Participate in requirements, design, test strategy, test plan, and test automation reviews.
- Create and maintain Tableau dashboards for data visualization and reporting.
- Support data quality through basic QA processes, including validation and testing of ETL pipelines.
- Help automate, deploy, and monitor data engineering workflows.
Must-have skills:
- Experience with Python, SQL and familiarity with Spark.
- Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services and data warehousing (e.g., Redshift or similar).
- Experience using Tableau for reporting and dashboards.
- Some exposure to QA processes for data validation and troubleshooting
