Strategy and Policy AnalystMacdill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL
The Strategy and Policy Analyst assists the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the plans and policy directorate task area. The position's primary mission involves assisting and advising the COMUSMARCENT in joint-level and service-level planning, deliberate planning, crisis action planning, force deployment planning, and requirements development, validation, and prioritization. The Strategy and Policy Analyst directly supports plans and policy under the MARCENT G-5, including providing strategy, policy, campaign plans, posture plans, and requirements development and analysis services to ensure MARCENT strategy and policy is aligned with Combatant Command, Service, and National level strategy and policy. The Strategy and Policy Analysis Services will perform the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide strategy and policy analysis services to ensure MARCENT strategy and policy is aligned with Combatant Command, Service, and National level strategy and policy.
- Assist in the development of the command's strategy, policy, campaign plans, posture plans, programs, and requirements.
- Maintain contact with, monitor development, and conduct reviews of CENTCOM, Joint, and Service level doctrine to ensure component level approval and compliance.
- Develop assessments, information papers, and briefs, as well as facilitate the required coordination between the staff sections and action officers, to support development and refinement of command strategy and policy.
- Write component-level information and position papers on a variety of Joint and HQMC strategy and concept development topics.
- Assist in development of Executive Off Site (EOS), CENTCOM Commander's Conference (CCC), and additional component-level presentations for COMUSMARCENT.
- Participate on internal MARCENT Operational Planning Teams and working groups.
EDUCATION - HS diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE - Minimum ten years of military experience.
- Experience in developing and analyzing strategic and policy documents, including campaign plans, posture plans, and requirements. Demonstrated ability to align strategy with Combatant Command, Service, and National level policies.
- Experience in preparing assessments, information papers, and briefs on a variety of strategic and policy topics, with strong writing skills for crafting component-level information and position papers.
- Experience in assisting with the development of high-profile presentations for Executive Off Sites (EOS), CENTCOM Commander's Conferences (CCC), and other component-level events.
- Involvement in internal Operational Planning Teams and working groups, contributing to the development and refinement of command strategy and policy.

- Expertise in ensuring that MARCENT strategy and policy are aligned with Combatant Command, Service, and National level strategies and policies.
- Strong skills in strategy and policy analysis, including the development and refinement of campaign plans, posture plans, and related documents.
- In-depth knowledge of CENTCOM, Joint, and Service level doctrine and the ability to monitor and review for compliance and alignment.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS - Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE - A TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
