Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: 100% Onsite in Stamford
Duration: 6M Contract to Hire
Pay Range: $50-63/hr
Background/ Reason for needing the person?- Our Company is broken up into two areas first being core internet & cable and the second being Mobile.
- This team is the mobile billing team.
- Their main goals are to bring in new billing features to the mobile customers on the back end
- Looking to bill in new ways (financing and flexible billing plans)
- Business Analyst will support our release management processes and managers.
- Responsible for gathering requirements finding and implementing gaps in the process
Exactly what are they doing for the team (Day to Day)?- 50 % involved in current sprint activities, understanding what is being planned and deployed
- 30% working on dedicated projects
- 20% on process improvement
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations.
- Determines user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems.
- Serves as primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff.
- Identifies, documents, reports and tracks system issues.
- Supports the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables
- We work in Agile sprints which are 4 months long. The BA will be required to think outside of the box and continuously ask fact finding questions to identify any defects early in this process. Waiting until the end of a sprint to identify defects may result in missing deadlines, so this Business Analyst must be able to ask enough questions to identify these early.
