As Research Engineer, your work will focus on Cardiac MRI and other imaging analysis for the Pediatric Cardiology Department. Initially, you will investigate datasets for patients with a form of congenital heart disease, but your scope will expand afterward to broader fields. Other daily tasks may include electronic health record chart review, EKGs and echoes analysis and novel MRI imaging study. While this position mainly involves "behind the scenes" efforts, everything you do will make a difference in the lives of patients every day.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:30AM – 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Analyze, investigate and plan specific engineering criteria, characteristics and features to meet assignment goals.

Perform routine engineering investigations in support of current research or product development efforts using engineering software analysis tools.

Prepare design sketches or drawings for components, sub-assemblies, processes or equipment using CAD or 3-D solid modeling software.

Assist with the design, development and evaluation of prototype medical devices, equipment, and software.

Assist with the preparation and evaluation of test protocols and test specimens.

Prepare charts, graphs and documentation in support of articles for publication, project reports and grant applications.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or in a related field

Previous experience and completion of a co-op or internship

Pay Range: $27.65 - $42.17 / hour
