Job Summary
The Director of Pipeline Integrity Survey will oversee the strategic development, execution, and management of all pipeline integrity surveys across the company’s network. This senior leadership role will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of pipeline systems by directing integrity assessments, risk analysis, and maintenance strategies. The Director will lead a team of survey engineers and specialists, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and liaise with external stakeholders to implement industry best practices, adhere to regulatory requirements, and drive innovation in pipeline inspection technologies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pipeline integrity survey, a deep understanding of survey methodologies, and a proven track record of managing complex projects. They will be a results-driven leader with excellent communication skills, capable of managing large-scale survey programs and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the pipeline integrity survey strategy, aligning with corporate goals to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of pipeline assets.
- Survey Program Management: Oversee pipeline integrity survey operations, to identify and mitigate risks to pipeline systems.
- Team Development: Manage and mentor a team of surveyors and technicians, ensuring continuous professional development and high performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all integrity surveys and related activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies (e.g., DOT, ASME, API).
- Innovation and Technology: Drive the adoption of new technologies for pipeline inspection and monitoring (e.g., smart pigs, drones, remote sensing) to enhance survey accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the budget for pipeline integrity survey projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 7 years of experience in pipeline integrity surveying, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in pipeline inspection technologies, Pig Tracking, AGM Surveys and Dig Programs.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale survey operations.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
