OpenBOM is looking to continue the growth of our engineering team and looking for a senior back-end engineer with the opportunity to lead the back-end team. In this role, you will be leading our engineering effort by developing new functions and taking part in scaling the OpenBOM SaaS platform. The position is 100% remote. Preference to locations in North America and European time zones.
Skills and experience we’d like you to have:
- Experience building web apps and APIs using Java. It’s great if you have Scala and Python experience too.
- Experience with Java development is a must
- Experience with frameworks: Spring, Akka, Jersey, and Apache Struts is a plus
- Strong database savvy-ness – NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Neo4j), RDBMS
- Experience building web services or REST APIs
- Some exposure to the cloud (we use AWS), agile scrum, and agile tools (Github, JIRA)
