As an Engineer Manager, you will lead technical production processes and integrate new technical activities with a team of skilled engineers. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will collaborate closely with Process Engineers, the international Research & Development Team, and the Production Team in Plattsburgh, NY. Your role will also involve management responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of Process Engineers, providing guidance and support to optimize their performance and development.
- Oversee the technical aspects of the foam extrusion manufacturing process, ensuring that projects and initiatives align with company goals.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments, including Maintenance, Production, and Research & Development, to ensure smooth operations.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Develop, implement, and enhance manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
- Manage, drive, and provide justification for plant efficiency and safety improvement projects from planning through to realization.
- Establish and maintain technical and digital monitoring systems for foam extrusion machinery.
- Provide hands- on leadership with process adjustments and machinery troubleshooting to maintain up time.
Project Management:
- - Formulate and oversee structured project creation, management and completion to support the companies objectives.
- - Design and manage new production line budgets and develop cost-effective solutions to support machinery uptime.
- - Coordinate production trials and tests for new product developments, ensuring successful implementation and integration
- - Lead future growth and expansion projects to achieve the companies strategic plans.
Your Skillset
- Strong knowledge of machines and technical processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record of leading sophisticated process engineering projects and technical direct reports
- Academic background in process, industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software, technical writing, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Office365, Excel).
- Physical capability to meet job requirements, including lifting up to 60 lbs and performing various physical tasks.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside normal work hours to support a 24X7 facility.
- Preference for candidates within a 30-minute driving radius to the plant. Commitment to quality, safety, and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years as an Engineering Manager.
- Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.
