About the role:
As theExecutive Director of UAS, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a wide range of services. Reporting to the UAS Board of Directors, with a dotted-line relationship to the University’s Vice President for Administration and CFO, this role oversees:
- Financial services and budget administration
- Human resources for approximately 600 UAS employees
- Contracts and grants (pre- and post-award)
- Bookstore operations (managed by Barnes & Noble)
- Campus food services, catering, and conference center operations
- Childcare services
Key facilities under this role’s purview include the Rong Xong Xu BioSpace Incubator, TVFM Building, the 103,000 sq. ft. Golden Eagle Building (including a 600-seat conference center and University Club), and the Pat Brown Institute.You’llmanage an $8M operating budget and oversee externally sponsored programs generating $25M+ in annual revenue.
What You Bring to the Team:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- 5years of leadership/management experience within a large, multi-purpose organization
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan strategically
- Experience with budget planning, fiscal oversight, and resource allocation
- Excellent written,oraland interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in personnel management including supervision of staff and employee development
- Acommitment to diversity and social justice with the ability to create a department which is inclusive and accessible
- The ability to write proposals, reports, and make presentations
- Demonstrated ability and/or interest in working in a multicultural multiethnic environment
What’sin it for you:
Theanticipatedyearly salary range for this position is $185,000 - $210,000 based on experience.
