Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Plant Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality of our oilfield chemical products. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, experience in chemical manufacturing, and be fluent in Chinese to facilitate effective communication with our international partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes specific to oilfield chemical production.
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including process flows, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and technologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and lead corrective action initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in line with industry standards.
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders in both English and Chinese.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, process simulation).
- Fluency in Chinese (spoken and written) is required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with process automation and optimization in a chemical facility.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with oilfield chemicals and their applications.
