At WTEC, we are constantly innovating and developing new products to support the growth of the solar industry here in the US market. We have some exciting eBOS related products in the development phase and is seeking an engineering leader to come and join our team to lead a team of engineers supporting the product development, roll out and ongoing product management.
Role description:
The Senior engineer will be part of the new formed division at WTEC supporting the product development and launch of eBOS systems. The Senior engineer will work closely with the SR VP of the division and support the engineering needs of the division. Will be responsible for managing a small team of engineers both local and remote.
· Lead all product design and development efforts, taking into consideration all relevant standards and codes.
· Ensure all engineering efforts balances outcomes related to safety, reliability, cost and quality.
· Understand and translate customer and market requirements to product design.
· Translate customer requirements to appropriate scope documents for the factory team.
· Support sales and estimation teams to develop better proposals.
· Support sales and marketing efforts with relevant information as required.
· Evaluate competitive landscape and shape product design and development to have best in class products in the industry.
· Support organization wide strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
· Engineering degree or related experience or qualifications.
· At least 5- 7 years of experience in solar eBOS systems or related industries.
· Sound knowledge of Engineering best practices and standards
· Familiarity with sales, estimation and business development processes
· People management and Team leadership skills
· Ability to coach junior team members.
