My client a major Drilling Operator has a current opening for a Crane Operator, this is a staff role on rotation out of Saudi Arabia.
The Crane Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining cranes, ensuring precise lifting, transporting, and placement of equipment and materials. This role demands a strong team player who can follow instructions, comfortably operate large machinery, and prioritize safety by adhering to strict protocols and industry best practices.
Maintenance & Safety:
· Conduct routine maintenance tasks on cranes
· Ensuring smooth crane operation and adherence to manufacturer's recommendations.
· The Crane Operator will promptly report any equipment malfunctions or potential safety hazards to the supervisor.
· Prioritizing safety in all aspects of the job is paramount.
· Conducting lifting equipment inspections
· Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Assisting in emergency response procedures related to crane operations.
Documentation & Training:
· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of crane inspections, maintenance activities, and lifting operations.
· The Crane Operator's participating in ongoing safety programs and maintaining required certifications.
Crane Function & Service:
· Follow crane safe handling practices in safe lifting, handling, and stepping techniques.
· Familiarity with manufacturer's manuals and load charts is mandatory before operating a crane.
· Ensuring proper load slinging, weight knowledge, clear personnel areas, and correctly set Crane Load Watch computers.
· Loading/back-loading Boats.
· The operator will be responsible for moving equipment, monitoring housekeeping, and environmental protection equipment.
Emergency Duties & Additional Skills:
· Taking appropriate action in emergencies and performing duties assigned by the supervisor.
· Assisting other departments like drilling crew support, service company personnel assistance

Education / Qualifications:
High School
Certifications:
- Must have a valid operator license
Years of Experience (Minimum):
· 5 years in crane operation experience in offshore rigs.
Relevant Experience:
· Experience on large cranes (25 - 60 tons).
· Demonstrated experience in safe and efficient crane operation, lifting a variety of equipment and materials.
· Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
· Experience operating cranes in offshore environments.
