Primary Responsibilities:
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and data warehousing solutions that support the business with data-driven decision making. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, data modeling, and database administration, and be able to work collaboratively with business partners and other IT teams to ensure data accuracy, availability, and security.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes that collect, transform, and load data from multiple sources into our data warehouse
- Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and other data structures that support data analytics and reporting
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across the enterprise data landscape
- Collaborate with business partners and other IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs
- Design and implement data security and access controls that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and data warehousing solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, data modeling, and database administration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, and database administration
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and database architecture
- Experience with cloud-based data technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $116,000.00 per year
