Responsibilities This is the fully qualified level job. Has responsibility for developing and maintaining engineering application software for use in Oil/Gas industry. Engages in research to incorporate existing technology into Weatherford's products. Provides support to internal and external clients working on consulting projects which use Weatherford's engineering software. Writes and maintains robust engineering software applications for commercial use and distribution. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Provides technical support to project team members.

- Contribute to the creation of system and product architecture, design, and interface definitions.
- Participate in change control decisions of products.
- Perform requirements analysis and decomposition to assist with defining product requirements and product conceptualization.
- Identify and assist in the management of intellectual property, third-party software, re-use, and compliance.
- Provide technical help to the organization and development team.
- Act as a junior level technical consultant to Product Line Management, Support, Deployment, and Testing organizations, as well as to other development teams.
- Contribute significantly to product roadmaps, estimation, planning, identification of risks and issues, and development status.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work closely with internal and external customers to translate needs into requirements, to explain and resolve technical issues, and to present technical solutions.
- Support in defining strategies, guidelines, and goals for integration of components, product testing, and acceptance testing.
- Responsible for providing technical oversight for the successful implementation and test of product features.
- Resolve complex product and system issues.
- Actively engage in process improvements and execution of established processes.
- Coach and mentor peers and junior engineers.
- Analyze requirements and architecture to perform design and implementation of software applications.
- Support the creation of documentation and training material.
- Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications Education:
- Minimum 7+ years of related experience
- Must have Degree in Computer Science or related field (BE/ B.Tech, MCA, BSC IT/CS, BCA)
Experience:
- Minimum 7+ years of related experience - Must have Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proficient in C# (expectation is language, including language features LINQ, multithreading with Tasks and Async/Await etc)
- Programming for the .Net platform with an understanding of .Net specific concepts.
- Basic Microsoft SQL Server Administration (ideally 2012 or above)
- Development experience with MongoDB
- Experience with latest Web technologies (Angular 2.0+, Bootstrap, NPM etc.)
- WebAPI / Web Services
- SignalR / Web Sockets
- XML and JSON data, and related software concepts
- Experience with Enterprise Message Brokers e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka etc
- Familiarity with software design patterns MVVM, Dependency Injection, and Inversion of Control.
- Security concepts such as Authentication and Impersonation.
- Excellent programming and problem solving skills
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle
- Proficient with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps 2019
- Experience with Agile development, particularly Scrum
- Oilfield services or oil and gas knowledge is a plus
- Experience With WITSML Standard (1.3 & 1.4) is a plus
