Responsibilities Weatherford is hiring an Asset & Inventory Supervisor for our MPD Center of Excellence. Located at 4420 WEST GREENS ROAD HOUSTON, Texas 77066
The Asset and Inventory Supervisor has responsibility for managing and directing the activities of employees engaged in asset and inventory control. Day to day the A&I Supervisor will analyze and reconcile inventory record discrepancies and recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of products or services.
Roles & Responsibilities
SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

OPERATIONS
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership and managers in choosing, defining and implementing asset and inventory strategies to optimize inventory & asset investments
- Identify and highlight key issues preventing the execution of inventory and asset strategies and improvement of results
- Work with Global Product Line and Region Leadership to drive change: coach and support development of targeted improvement action plans
- Understand, communicate, and implement the overall process to ensure Sites optimize the acquisition of new assets, utilization & replenishment of inventory
- Ensure there is a process supporting the identification and use of asset and inventory as part of the capital/asset/inventory request process
- Design strategies, implement tactics, and execute plans to address slow moving asset and inventory and assist in locating excess of both asset and inventory
- Liaise with Finance and Global and Region Asset and Inventory Manager to ensure that Asset and Inventory Transfer Policies and procedures are adhered to
- Work with Global and Region Asset and Inventory Manager to establish the Global and Region plans and requirements for maintaining good execution of the control (count) process and monitor compliance to process
- Monitor accuracy results ensuring variances are investigated and captured utilizing the Root Cause Analysis documentation and assist sites in developing and implementing accuracy improvement plans
- Support Site Management in ensuring 100% process and ERP system transaction discipline and compliance to company procedures and work instructions
- Adhere to and enforce all Inventory and Asset Policies
- Provide training/coaching to Sites on inventory and asset management, processes, budgeting, plan execution, inventory target setting, asset utilization improvement, etc.
- Report and monitor inventory and asset KPI's as required
- Leverage identified key issues in reports to initiate discussions with Regions and Sites to drive improvement
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
- Ensures interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of supply
- Collaborates with management to assess the reliability of suppliers and vendors, and to identify solutions for ongoing challenges
- Contacts vendors, places orders, verifies supplies, manages supply requisition and communicates with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform internal clients of potential delays
- Partners closely with the Expeditor to secure proper execution of order deliveries
FINANCIAL

- Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

Qualifications Experience & Education
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or e quivalent experience in lieu of degree
- Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) certification is essential
- Strong proven experience in Asset & Inventory Management
- Leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to support regional implementation of asset and inventory strategies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
- Knowledge of standard Asset and Inventory processes and procedures and skills to lead their implementation
- Ability to develop, outline, communicate and implement effective objectives and action plans
- Ability to understand and monitor performance metrics and manage reporting at the country/regional level
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and process mapping.
- Experience with effectively building, leading, and developing a successful team
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a matrix organizational structure, including negotiating and influencing across the matrix
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Logical and methodical, results-driven, determined and able to use sound judgment to achieve business results
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and with tight timelines
- Advanced skills in MS Excel. Working knowledge of standard office software such as MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
