Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose
Reporting to and supporting Manufacturing Supervisor/Management, Trainee Lead Operators will lead by example and learn to ultimately lead a dedicated team of personnel. Will be able to lead the process and the team, highlighting any areas of concern, improvement or opportunities to Management. Trainee Lead Operator will work through competency based workstations and will ultimately become competent in all related areas up to Lead Operator level.

ESSENTIAL (subject to appropriate training where this applies)
• Provides basic to moderate technical support for related professions and technical activities.
• Applies basic skills and assists with new tasks under direct supervision.
• Gains proficiency in the use of equipment and related matters.
• Problems and issues are routine with clearly prescribed solutions.
• Ability to follow and/or meet requirements of all related training.
• Ability to contribute towards, support and/or lead key processes and adhere to all required relevant standards including those related to Health & Safety, Process Leadership, Investigations, Materials Handling, Process Reporting, Paperwork (including JSEA documents), Product Quality and Production Schedule.
• Ability to follow instructions set out by Manufacturing Supervisor /Management.
• Flexible to work shift rotations as and when required (subject to appropriate notice)
• Ability to Lead a team of personnel conducting a manufacturing process safety, on time, to customer specification and with no quality defects.
• Can plan and prepare a process by using the team to delegate tasks ensuring full process ownership and accountability.
• Adheres to Oceaneering Life Saving Rules at all times
• Supports other departments within the Rosyth campus as required
• Participate in HSE Awareness - Observation Cards, HSE Safety Suggestions
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
• Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
• Displays required levels of engagement and a positive `can-do` attitude while consistently supporting Oceaneering culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement.
• Any other roles or tasks as required to support our business needs including carrying out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems plus related site policies/procedures.
