Support Control Systems NCE Technical Support Control Systems Team is a sub department of Technical Support NCE, supporting Service and Construction business in entire NCE region, in terms of technical knowledge and acting as the link between R&D and local business units. The main areas of support are turbine troubleshooting and turbine performance tasks.
Joining Technical Support Control Systems Team, you will be part of a high experience and dedicated team. Taking leadership for implementing Vestas strategy, supporting the Service and Construction organizations and local business units with technical knowledge, secure customer focus and safety.
Responsibilities - Perform remote software uploads on a backlog for existing turbines, and when new software changes and updates are needed
- Checking and ensuring turbines are configurated correctly, and updating all needed documentation after software uploads
- Ensuring all new turbines at commissioning are installed with the latest software version, and checking turbines are configurated according to Project Specific Parameter Settings (PSPS) at handover process
- Performing software uploads at After Sales fleet optimizing selling's, and ensuring all documentation are uploaded
- Update of documentation for a backlog of already performed fleet optimization software uploads
- Providing direct support to service technicians having software upload problems
- Handling requests in ticketing system
Qualifications - Engineering education, such as: Electrical, Mechanical, Marine Engineering or similar
- Experience from the wind industry will be counted as an advantage
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and in writing
- Conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using tools like Ansys
- Knowledge of coding with scripting languages
- Good understanding of static and dynamic behavior of mechanical steel structures
Competencies - Ability to participate effectively as part of an international environment
- Good knowledge of WTG control systems (Toolkit, VOB, VTM, VAX etc.)
- Ability to organize and priorities tasks
- Able to work both with limited supervision and in teams
- Good pragmatical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and a solid commitment to quality and safety
- Very good PC skills: SAP, Microsoft office suite
