Within Vestas Power Solution business unit, the department Control Hardware Module is responsible for the design and development of Low Voltage control panels and the control system across various sections of Wind Turbine.Applications, Controls & Electrical > Control Hardware > Quality & Lifecycle ManagementControl Hardware module is inclusive of several submodules explicit to each section of Wind Turbine. Control Hardware Module: Quality & LCM is a part of ACE organization in Vestas Power Solutions (Vestas R&D). Vestas Power Solutions is a business unit where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, maintained and tested.
Vestas Power Solutions operates on a global scale with more than 2,100 employees. You will be part of Quality sub module and responsible for Quality improvement projects, Continuous Improvement Projects, LPF Projects and Closed loop quality in design through DMAIC, DFMEA usage and other related tools.
Responsibilities - Guide team to execute the quality findings towards the solution
- Bring new Quality techniques to ensure positive approach to reduce quality defects
- Support team in maintaining and providing Data Analysis for Alarms, material and CIM for Control Hardware components
- Organize Meeting with Sub module owners to get update on the follow up actions, present Quality dashboard and emphasis preventive Action to quality defects prevent in future
- LPF forecasting and strategy to reduce LPF in module
- Coordination between stakeholders outside module and submodule engineers in quality improvement projects such as CIM, LPF and supplier improvement tasks, etc
- Be the ambassador for quality related requirement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering
- 10years of experience in Wind Turbine designing Electrical components
- Have good Knowledge/interest to learn control hardware components in Wind turbine
- Advanced experience in quality assurance and is well-qualified in its processes and procedures
- Creative, Motivated, Good Communication skills (spoken and written) required
- Knowledge in Electrical design and specification in compliant to the relevant international standards
- Knowledge of Wind turbines and Electrical components
- Capable of delivering short term results without losing the long-term vision
- Quality mindset
Competencies - Compile and interpret information regarding LPF, CIM, S-RCA & CLQ
- Be able to write clear, informative reports that highlight the main findings and focus
- Have the ability to discuss quality issues and how to accomplish preventive solution / process with other stake holders
- Your analytical skills in combination with your technical and value chain understanding enable you to identify and prioritize design drivers and to find the optimum technical solution within the given boundaries
- Thanks to your pro-active and motivated personality, you achieve your results by setting the direction, defining and organizing tasks by importance, and making sure that necessary decisions are taken With your structured and organized way of working your plan and prioritize the tasks while at the same time keeping the focus on the overall targets
- Your organizational and communicative skills allow you to achieve your results through international and multi-disciplinary teams that involve colleagues from various parts of Vestas as well as supply partners globally
- Knowledge to handle task in Vestas ERP systems
