Responsibilities Weatherford Malaga, Perth is currently seeking a
FIELD SPECIALIST IV- ISDT. This is a senior role that is highly demanding, hands-on job that makes use of the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our clients and acts to manage field crews whenever necessary (similar to engineers) but also with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility.
The Field Specialist IV - ISDT is trained and certified to maintain and run Special Services operations, among others, independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
In this role, he or she will use advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices to complete assignments, will work on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features, will review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Additionally, the Field Specialist IV - ISDT will have to develop new techniques and or improve processes or materials, or products, act as technical specialist or advisor to management and staff, oversee junior level specialists in completion of their assignments and receive supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives and critical issues, new concepts and policy matters.
Responsibilities and duties: - Operate wide range of downhole tools including but not limited to open and cased hole fishing, casing exit and well abandonment operation at customer job site
- Dispatching preparation and maintenance of downhole and fishing tools ensuring they are maintained and inspected to relevant standards and fit for purpose
- Liaise with customer and drilling crew on trouble shooting and job planning to ensure effective solution are recognized and carried out
- Complete appropriate job reports and other relevant paperwork and ensure it is uploaded to Weatherford Performance Tracking System and approved by management
- Attending customer meetings as required
- Write specific job procedures as required
- Assist with product sales and support functions
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications - 5+ years related field experience in the Oilfield Service industry is essential.
- 3+ years of Fishing and Remedial (Intervention Services and Drilling Tools) is essential.
- Offshore / Subsea experience is essential.
- Experience in Open and Cased Hole Fishing and Casing Exit is advantageous.
- Experience in Well Abandonment Operation is required.
- High School diploma (or Secondary School Diploma or equivalent) as minimum. Preferred 2 years College degree.
- General product knowledge.
- BOSIET with CA-EBS preferred.
- OGUK Medical or this can be obtained on the onboarding once selected for the role.
- Mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Valid Driver license.
- Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel computer skills.
- Self-motivator, self-starter.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Able to work closely with fellow employees.
MOBILISATION REQUIREMENTS - Based in Malaga, Perth.
- Travel requirements would be 50%.
- Adhoc roster.
