Job Description
The Indirect Category Management Leader will report into Veolia WTS Chief Procurement Officer and will be responsible to oversee $500M of global Veolia WTS indirect spend across various categories. In partnership with internal, functional stakeholders and business partners, the Leader -Indirect Category Management will drive enterprise-wide cost out and cash optimization initiatives for the enterprise while building long term sustainable category strategies as well as supplier relationships. This role will influence and collaborate with senior management, P&L leadership, regional leadership and supply base to develop/deploy a holistic, global strategy for the Indirect Spend.
As we are working to shape and implement a global procurement function for the Water Tech Zone (WTS + VWT), the Indirect Category Management Leader will play an instrumental role in this process, helping shape the global organization adapted to support our ambition to increase the strategic impact of the procurement and support Water Tech Zone growth. She / He will lead the implementation for NAM.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop "Buy Better" mindset, specifically development of relevant category strategies for the top spend areas with emphasis on preferred supplier utilization, vendor rationalization, in source vs. outsource whilst driving a laser focus in improving service levels with suppliers.
• Support "Spend Smarter" actions aimed at demand management, leveraging proactive budgetary interrogation to influence purchasing behavior via needs assessment.
• Developing & executing the overall Indirect Sourcing strategy for VWTS in close collaboration with the functional stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.
• Market research and analysis in order to develop expertise in core categories including Real Estate, Logistics, IT, Telecommunications, Human Resources, Intellectual/Purchased Services, Facilities, MRO, Office Services, Travel and Fleet, industry dynamics and Market trends.
• Perform data analysis and utilize financial acumen to identify opportunities to leverage scale, and drive best value proposition /vendor selection for VWTS.
• Develop expertise in contract requirements in order to negotiate the most favorable pricing and contract terms and conditions.
• Implement rigorous supplier relationship management processes including leading period business reviews to monitor and manage supplier performance and value proposition KPI's (cost quality service etc.).
• Strong project and process management in order to execute global & regional sourcing strategy with cross functional teams.
• Build good working relationships with all functional partners (Supply Chain, Legal,
Operations, Finance).
People and organization
• Recruit, develop, manage, recognize and reward staff. Plan organizational evolution to adapt to internal/external context and design/implement succession paths for individuals in the function/company.
• Build and maintain an organizational environment that cultivates the broad development of a best in class, engaged and effective regional procurement team.
• Serve as an active contributor to Management Team and Procurement Leadership Team as well as other regional and global teams as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Education &; Experience Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field, candidate with a master's degree and / or certification like CPM/CPSM, PMP, etc. will have added advantage.
• Thirteen (13) years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain function or equivalent role,
with knowledge of category management, contract management and category strategy deployment.
Preferred:
• Experience in working in different cultures and environments, in a matrixed organization.
Working Conditions
• Annual travel required 30%.
