Responsibilities
Weatherford have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Global Product Line Specialist to join the team in Aberdeen. This role is considered as Global Technical Support (Subject Matter Expert) for MARS (Mature Asset Rejuvenation through Surveillance). This role is intended for providing support to the Product Line Management with financial plans, product line strategy and implementation, product development, marketing plans, and technical and commercial support. This role is also responsible for the interface between Research & Development (R&D) and Geozone Operations during the commercialization phase and the application engineering for new technologies / product.

QUALITY

OPERATIONS
- Participate an overall product line strategy, development priorities and operational support for Product Line assigned.
- Provide technical support and guidance for any problem that may be encountered during the business development, applications design, commercialization, field installation and training process for product line assigned.
- Liaise with Geozone to support operations and business development as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Interface with the engineering, design the best product solutions and provide guidance based on previous operational and field experience, liaison with operations.
- Facilitate and support the coordination of prototype testing at the R&D facility as required by the engineering group.
- Partner with a variety of functional areas such as sales, operations, engineering, manufacturing, and operations to develop and to provide product definitions in response to Operation's needs and market opportunities.
- Coordinate the field trials of a new hardware and or software in coordination with the Geozones.
- Support the development of technical work instructions, competency and training material, presentations, sales literature, technical sales sheets, real results and financial plans.
- Provide financial and technical justification for product selection/justification and definition.
- Coordinate required support with R&D and Manufacturing for all Product Line Equipment Lifecycle Management.
- Coordinate support for legacy equipment and software.
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external.
FINANCIAL
- Provide financial and technical justification for product selection/justification and definition.
- All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses.
- Costs incurred should be within the approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure.
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
- Conduct Internal and External Training as required for the Product Line.
- Actively participate in Industry Workshop such as SPE, API, ISO, ASME, or any other Oil and Gas institution.
- Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance and business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- 15+ years Oilfield experience in both Offshore/Onshore environments.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in MARS (Mature Asset Rejuvenation through Surveillance).
- Technical knowledge of Mature Asset Rejuvenation through Surveillance (MARS), completions and rejuvenation products.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with reading, analysing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Familiarity with mathematical operations such as frequency distributions, test reliability and validity, variance analysis, correlation techniques, and factor analysis.
- Skill in examining tenders, market conditions and operational requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively train and mentor personnel in classroom and field environments.
- Complex problem solving and analytical skills.
- Work effectively across a diverse multicultural multilingual community.
- The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to travel - domestic and international - if necessary.
Preferred:
- Experience in Technical and Operational support for Product Line assigned.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Experience in optical reservoir monitoring.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
