Buckeye Power Sales has been providing on site power solutions for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities and homeowners since 1947, which makes us the oldest Kohler generator distributor in the country. We are also a distributor of Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of power generation applications such as combined heat and power, waste to power, prime, and continuous. Our Construction Equipment Sales Representatives are responsible for:
- Performing sales calls in person, over the phone and via e-mail
- Developing a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling, direct mail activities and networking
- Managing selling activities to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Working with customers to resolve problems and provide solutions
- Seeking and continuously develops knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicates this to relevant company staff
- Maximizing all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in increased market share
- Recording and updates all activities in CRM utilizing it to follow up on quotes and sell benefits of BPS
- P&L Reporting for rental department
- Visiting customer job sites as needed for sales/estimating/customer service purposes
- Providing recommendations and develop strategies on how to improve quality and quantity of services provided
- Providing estimates on equipment sizing required to meet power needs
- Working with sales support & service team to
- Scheduling and coordinating logistics for rental activities
- Generating quotes and work orders
- Processing all paperwork in a timely manner
- Obtaining customer documents such as proof of insurance for rental property
- Providing document copies requested by customers
- Assisting with inventory management of rental assets

Requirements:
- Conforms with the core values of BPS
- High School diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- 18+ years of age
- 2+ yrs experience in sales and/or customer service desired but not high priority
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers
- Basic knowledge of the workings of construction equipment or willingness and ability to train and enhance knowledge of such equipment
- Valid driver's license; able to meet and maintain insurance criteria for insurability;
- Ability to get and maintain DOT medical card
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Intermediate math skills
- Strong presentation skills and ability to influence others
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Capable of preserving confidential and sensitive material
- Proven ability to pay attention to detail
- Able to work well unsupervised; able to work independently
- Able to work flexible hours including occasional overtime

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including afterhours and weekends based on customer requirements
- Must be able to pass background check and periodic drug screens
