Responsibilities The Global Account Director is the custodian of the client account at a global level and is responsible for developing and owning the business strategy for their specific client(s). Depending on the client account the role may report to a Global Account VP or directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. The role is responsible for leading the revenue growth of the account through both contract optimization and new business acquisition processes. The role provides guidance and connectivity between our matrix organization and the client and is accountable for delivering account business objectives per the account plan, including revenues, profitability and other agreed metrics. In cooperation with the Geozones and Product lines the role will create and maintain a long-term strategic account plan to drive growth in terms of revenue and profitability to meet agreed targets.
OPERATIONS
- Accountable for the Account Management life cycle process, delivering the growth and margin as agreed to budget and Company expectations.
- Effective use of Sales Business Intelligence identifies the top strategic projects for the Account and engages the Geozone Sales teams to build an effective and successful pursuit plan.
- Provides close personal and hands on supervision of all strategic opportunities for the account and takes personal responsibility for the final negotiation and close out phases of strategic tenders.
- Ensures opportunities are entered into the Salesforce system and communicated across the global organization.
- Monitors competitor activity within the account and has a comprehensive understanding of the market share both geographically and in Product lines.
- Monitors submitted tenders for the account and participates in the development of strategic tender submissions throughout the Geozones.
- Collaborates with the Geozone sales teams and the Product Line to support the global product commercialization program with activities to drive adoption of the strategic products into their specified account.
COMMUNICATION
- Monitors and tracks customer rig counts and production activity including new concessions.
- Tracks won and lost tenders and reports on performance on a quarterly basis as a minimum.
- Builds and presents the Quarterly Account Review to the organization.
- Engages multiple levels of the key client organizations throughout their decision making matrix and strives to successfully execute global level strategy.
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external.
- Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports.
FINANCIAL
- Monitors revenue and profitability against targets, taking appropriate actions to address identified gaps.
- Monitors client payment terms and performance and takes necessary actions/discussions with the client to ensure cash flow performance is maintained and any disputes resolved.
Qualifications - Demonstrated development of contracts, negotiations and execution.
- Successful track record of delivering complex, business projects in challenging environments.
- Excellent experience in development and management of Account Plans and Strategies.
- Experience in working successfully in a matrix organisation with functions and product lines.
- Excellent knowledge of P&L management including effective Capex utilisation.
- Demonstrated experience in successful change management, influencing others at all levels internally and with clients.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and effective communicator of commercial strategies.
- Demonstrated resilience, persistence and creative passion in building trust with all stakeholders, particularly when driving change - processes and people.
- Proven skills in sales, operations, and product line management.
- Experience in mentoring individuals formally and informally.
- Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to senior management internally and externally.
- Logical, methodical, results driven, self-driven, decisive, flexible, determined with a sound business judgment.
- Good technical knowledge of Weatherford product range and oilfield services.
- Ability to successfully interact with diverse groups of people in order to deliver innovative solutions to difficult problems.
- Ability to travel on a global basis.
