POSITION SUMMARY
Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery or refinery and pipeline distribution systems.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
• Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.
• Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
• Record repairs and maintenance performed.
• Study blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
• Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
• Assemble new equipment.
• Rebuild air, centrifugal, and gear pumps.
• Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
• Troubleshoot and make recommendations for repairs.
• This list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the shift and overall plant.
Qualifications
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education:
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience
• Minimum of 5 years' maintenance or related experience working in a chemical, manufacturing, or refining facility.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends as needed.
• Ability and willingness to wear a respirator as required.
• Ability and willingness to operate a fork truck.
• Must pass a drug screen.
DESIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Associate Degree (two year college or technical school) or equivalent experience.
• Preferred minimum of 5 years' related maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
• Preferred minimum of 5 years' experience with pump and rotating equipment
repairs/replacements.
• Previous experience performing PM routes is a plus.
• Previous experience welding & fabricating is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot failures & identify repair needs is a plus.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong computer and math skills.
• Team player, individual thinker.
