Function:
Establish, configure, maintain, and support internal and external networks. Develop and maintain all networking systems, applications, security, and configurations. The Network Administrator will conduct network capacity and performance analysis and recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Maintain standards for network security through the use of industry benchmarks on all network equipment.
Position Requirements:
GENERAL:
- Onsite with remote flexibility
- On-call response to resolve unexpected system issues affecting customer services
- Occasional local travel to support branch technology operations
- Occasional travel for technical conferences
EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years of technical services-related experience
- Demonstrated work-related experience may be considered instead of education requirements
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degree
- Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Duties:
- Troubleshoot network performance issues and recommend corrective actions providing technical support and guidance to network users, assisting on the help desk when needed
- Responsible for network backup and recovery procedures and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan
- Analyze, design, develop, test, configure, integrate, install, implement, maintain, and manage layer 2 and/or layer 3 network equipment
- Configure, optimize, and deploy network switches, routers, wireless access points, and VoIP systems
- Perform lifecycle support services that include installation, maintenance, and warranty coordination of network and system equipment
- Maintain configuration control and configuration backup for the network to include the use of Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) to emulate LAN Wide Area network architecture
- Develop, update, and maintain accurate networking related documentation
- Provide support for regulatory and compliance audit requests
- Conduct research on networking hardware, software, and related industry trends and protocols in support of procurement and development efforts
- Attend seminars and training to gain an understanding and support technology solutions
Adhere to regulations and organizational policies, maintaining awareness and knowledge required to perform duties of the position, including all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, and Information Security
