Description: The Dispatch Technician is responsible for providing day to day support to those responsible in creating fluid movement load plans within the Transportation and Logistics business unit servicing Lloyd Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil (LTCHO) Operations. Movement of fluids takes place from the well tank location to either a disposal facility or battery (i.e. end destinations) to include products such as; produced water, emulsion, sales and sand whilst keeping safety of all workers at the forefront of our daily tasks.
Provide coverage for Dispatch and District Fluid Management which includes knowing and understanding all roles and responsibilities for these positions.
Process truck tickets to include multiple systems to verify and document charges.
Assist Dispatch and District Fluid Management by creating, editing, dispatching run sheets and truck lists via Salesforce.
Ensure manuals, guide's, communications within the Transportation group are kept up to date.
Monitor inventories to obtain levels (%) which meets Transportation BU targets.
Provide assistance to the Coordinator, Transportation & Logistics, in implementing and training new projects and processes.
Collaborate with Coordinator, Transportation & Logistics, and the Field Area Advisors to optimize and improve fluid movement, achieve daily/monthly Trucking KPI's by assessing truck and trailer capacity/utilization district wide.
Assist Dispatch and District Fluid Management during an accident or incident.
SME and trainer for Dispatch applications including Salesforce, SCADA, GeoTrac, etc.
Note: This position agrees with and has adopted the major elements of the HOIMS program with respect to the way in which all work is undertaken in this Business Unit.
Qualifications :
Required:
Grade 12 Diploma.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership, decision making and facilitation skills
Highly motivated, outstanding positive attitude and desire to grow job responsibility
Flexible and adapt easily to changing priorities
Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with operators, carriers, peers, management, and coworkers.
A minimum of 5 years fluid hauling related experience.
Asset
Related post-secondary education or diploma from Technical School
Incident Investigation certification
Safety courses, training, certifications
Previous safety experience
Working knowledge of SCADA
Working knowledge of GeoTrac
Knowledge of legal land descriptions
Advanced computer skill in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Prior work with Operations and Fluid Haulers
Auditing experience and/or certification
Incident Investigation experience and/or certification
Working knowledge of Intelex and ISNet
