Job Duties and Qualifications
Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Credit Management Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing credit management activities, including annual reviews of assigned countries/regions/customers, decision-making regarding customer credit risk, and trade finance. This role requires collaboration with various internal teams, such as business development, customer financial services, and order to cash teams, to identify and resolve issues with specific customers in a timely manner. The Credit Management Specialist will also be responsible for assessing credit for new customers seeking onboarding and producing routine and ad hoc reports related to credit management and other corporate metrics.
Job Description
- Under general supervision, performs credit and trade finance functions in order to manage customer credit risk and support business growth in North America.
- Conduct annual reviews of assigned countries/regions/customers to assess creditworthiness and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Make informed decisions concerning customer credit risk by conducting thorough reviews and assessments of exposures to countries and customers.
- Collaborate closely with business development, customer financial services, and order to cash teams to identify and resolve issues with specific customers as they arise.
- Assess credit for new customers looking to be onboarded, including conducting credit checks and evaluating credit history and financial stability.
- Produce various routine and ad hoc reports related to credit management, including aging reports, credit exposure analysis, and corporate metrics, to support decision-making and compliance efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in credit management, trade finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Power BI and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and compliance
